A Clinical Trial Explaining DCIS

Where the DCIS contains hormone receptors, patients may be treated 3 months prior to surgery to monitor response to medical (hormonal) therapy and some may not even need surgery, or where a mastectomy may have been needed, it may be possible to conserve the breast.

Interviewee:

Shelley Hwang MD, MPH, Chief Breast Surgical Oncology UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center
